Oooooh, (sharp intake of breath) don't start on the more usable bit Bradders, that's thin ice that one!

I once did 400 miles in a day on my 748 and returned home a near cripple from the oh so comfy riding position, and that's without mentioning the weight, the racket she made in town, the overheating at the drop of a hat, the slow slow steering, I could go on.........................

You could put it all down to character, you could say jap fours are bland because they do none of this, I'm not so sure...................

i got to agree Jennykins.....

i can do 30mph in 5th.... and 150mph in 5th.... both easily and comfortable (as i'm sure is the same for yours)

Useable... the big fellas are deffo that... especially compared to Ducatis.

It baffles me why people come on here and waffle on about how great their jap thou's are, especially turncoats like Steve and Jen.

We all know they make a zillion bhp and weigh less than a gnat.

Who gives a toss?

This is the DSC, we're all on here because we love our Ducatis, however slow / expensive / uncomfortable / unreliable they may be (relatively).

Take it to the YSC / KSC / HSC / SSC where they might care.

Oh - there isn't a YSC / KSC / HSC / SSC?

Turncoats ??? LOL Beanie... it's not an exclusive club of 'Ducati owners'... it's a club of motorcycle enthusiasts who for whatever reason have owned or will own a Ducati....

Turncoats... it's not like a football team or a political choice... it's a bloody vehicle...

Who gives a toss, well based upon most of the recent DSC meets i've attended and the fact we're seeing almost a 50-50 split these days of Jap machines.... Quite a lot of people

Sorry Steve, but just revisit the Home Page for a moment....

It says :-

DUCATI Sporting Club
The UK Club For Today's DUCATI Rider

It doesn't say :-

The UK Club for people who had a ducati once or know someone who's got one or who might get one someday if they can be bothered.

Still counts as mine as i'm the only one who cleans it and does any work on it... Also in a few months time she's retiring from biking and it's then 100% mine

Fil has 2 Ducatis
Skids has several....

Just because someone changes from a Ducati doesn't make them less of a member... look at guys like WJB.... no longer has the Ducati, but is a passionate helper of DSC.... Or Whele who put on a TD for Us last year when he had his R1....
