Torque setting required please???

Hi, I'm after a torque setting in Nm for the rear ally sprocket cover nuts (15mm x 5 off) on a 916. I've just fitted a Renthral carrier & sprocket and find 7Nm from my book far too slack :-)

Thanks for any help...

Dave

The torque settings you mentioned...are they with dry bolts, or ones with lubrication on em...it does matter believe me ?

Unless specified the bolts would be dry (unless its raining) clean of any old crap, where oiled threads are nessacary manufacturers normally take oiled bolt torgues into account. Similary the manufacturer may specify the use of a thread locking compound. But we live and learn so I stand by to be corrected. 4D
