Rev counter - Zero on Idle!!??

Hi guys & galls,

Little help please!?

This morning on my way to work, after a short period of motorway, I noticed that the rev counter was showing zero when I was sat at traffic lights. When I blipped the throttle, it rose as normal!

She did also have a couple of periods running like a pig, with no power, and then all of a sudden the power would kick back in and I would find myself accelerating again!?!?

Any ideas?

Many thanx in advance

Neil

I can't shed any light on your problem but the revcounter on my mates ST2 does it as well but only when the engine is cold!

The only time my rev counter has under-read was when the reg/rectifier was sh@gged and the battery was running down....

It stopped running about 30 miles later...
