Baby R + Leo Vinci = :D

Just got my 749R back from JHP/Ducati Coventry. As usual excellent service from John H, Ken, Dave, John B and the team.

I had the 12 month service, plus a 57mm Leo Viinci, Power Commander, new rear spring and 25mm shim stack for the front forks.

John's dyno shows 127bhp and a beautiful flat torque curve. The power is still rising when it hits the rev limiter.

Can't wait for it to stop raining so that I can take it for a quick ride

Rob

I guess the comment about making power at the rev limiter is the justification for the race kit which revs to 13,000 rpm - nice !

Funnily enough just picked my 999R up today from John, top work as ever, pretty much standard as such, race pipes, only done 72 miles when I picked her up, about 142hp already

Doesn't half shift from 6k upwards!!!

Big up to Johnny H, Johnny B, Crystal Ken, Dave and even Craig (even though I have seen the most worrying photo of him as a pit bitch!)...unfortunately this cost them a sale of the shorts, as I will only be able to imagine him wearing them rather than Lily!

Happy days....

electricsheep - how much time is involved in setting the bike up once the exhaust has been fitted. What do they normally do. Trim the fueling and CO level, reset TPS etc?

I told my local dealer (475 miles away) that the boys in the UK are seeing around 130 rwhp from a 749R with a 54 / 57mm termi exhaust and some setup/head work. They haven't had one 749 / 999 series bike with anything more than termi asy. muffler kit fitted.

See over here in NZ there is only one bike in the whole bloody country that has had anything more than the termi asymetric muffer kit fitted. Propably due to cost and lack of knowledge. Oh and I forgot availability

127 from a 749, is that for real or is the dyno rather optimistic ?
Seems like a lot to me.
