54mm or 57mm Exhaust system help

I've decided to bite the bulllet and replace the Termi asymetrical exhaust system on my 999 with a Termi 2-1-2. There are three sizes available; 50,54 and 57mm.
Has anyone had experience with 54mm and larger exhausts on the 999S, 998S (euro) 998R or 996R?
I am looking to maximize the power under the curve between 6000 and 11000rpm.
(to clarify, I am talking about the area under the curve on a dyno graph).

I'm sure there was a post on this on the old board somewhere re 748/916/996 and there was some debate about actual gains with larger bores when the rest of the engine was left standard - you mightwant to root it out before you jump

The 996R, 998S/R and 999S/R all have much larger exhaust requirements than the 916/996. The current racebikes produce max power at 12500rpm and have 62.5mm systems. The 999S properly tuned is still producing peak power at 11500rpm.

54mm system should be ample unless you have got a high state of tune on the engine
