748-996

well the beast has had the 996 engine inserted. and got its first spin today.
first impressions were good, it is running the DP open chip at the mo (thanks Nelly) but the ultimap single injector job is winging its way from Aus so will put that in at the end of next week then get some Dyno time. it certainly needs it as at the moment it feels quite lumpy and pops and backfires on the down shift.
but the power is great.
went down some of my local road to check the difference.
found it lifting up the front when I became a bit to cocky on the throttle (nice)
the engine feels allot fresher sounds almost more electrical.
will take a bit of getting used to, but im happy

Good move Keefer, my 998 Hybrid is now up and running, I had it MOT'd on Thursday morning, still have a few of the upgrades to fit including the JHP slipper clutch and the 54mm Termi half system. Currently running a 50mm 998S system with the origianl 998BP ECU, haven't given it a proper test yet but on the run to the MOT station and back it felt a bit wooly so I will have to try the other ECU I have.
Next up is my 996 project so I will be interested in your single injector modification, I have everything to go the standard twin injector route but also have my 748RS 54mm Shower injectors that may be worth trying if a suitable chip can be done.
