Carbon Rims for 999

My rims finally arrived after a 6 month wait from BST. Total weight savings of 5kg, 2kg front, 3kg rear. The bike now turns in faster than the GSXR750. It is like riding my TZ250 on the street, simply AWESOME!!
I have a couple of track days this month, so I'll be able to give feedback on measured improvements on the track.

More pics of the complete bike in the Photos Forum.

I think you'll find that Neil at Cornerspeed can supply them too!
Having seen a pair close up inhis workshop, they are very, very Gucci!

Yep. I can supply BST. I fitted a set to a customers R1 a few months ago.
These things are absolutely stunning. I spent a hour, literally, going over the wheels and checking the detail in them.
Price wise, a little over a grand for the front and £1400 or so depending upon the width of the rear.
The feedback I got on the R1 was similar to Stephens experience. Pin sharp turn in and improved front end feedback were the main ones. The bike is on it's ear and round the corner without thinking about it now.
The owner is also convinced that acceleration/braking has improved to.

Hi there, got them through HPS and paid £ 2,000 for the wheels and £350 for the wavey discs. I did get a wee bit of a special deal cause I had already bought a set for my 954 Blade. Have not managed to get out on the duke as yet, as I had some injections in my back on Monday.....Can't wait to trial them at the weekend....Should be awesome!!!!!

hi all
im also using carbons frpm dymag Dp only complaint so far is that you must use minimal tyre soap as the tyre has a tendanccy to turn on the rim under heavy braking. happend to me three times in one day(gets annoying taking the front wheel out every rest period just to rebalance !!)
