749 fuel consumption

Now had 6 weeks and getting 85 to reserve and 7ish to litre.
This at normal touring speeds ie 75/80ish but never get out of 4th/5th max.
Is this about right?
Cheers

Seems a bit high to me. Over past 2 years I have got 115miles to reserve regularly. I don't go easy on it either in case you think that I might dawdle, and that is a mixture of country twisty and in town (a little).

I got 85 on a trackday at Cadwell though.

Also get around 115 before light comes on,mainly A and B roads. Think you need to use the gearbox more, I use all 6 of them

When you fill the tank after the light comes on how much can you get in?
Mine is anything from £8.50 to £10 and odd times £11, quite hard to get it actualy full

£10-50 ish from the light being on. I rarely do any kind of distance riding. I've also altered the gearing a little this year (2 teeth up on rear sprocket) and that has had the affect of riding at a higher revs (by about 500 rpm or so). The consumption may have dropped a little when I did that but not by much really (not below 100). Mostly done track days since then so not sure - above was all based on standard gearing.

My 749s is in standard gearing with a 57mm termi system, light comes on at ~85, never taken it past 100 before a refill. usually fit in about 14 ltrs at the 100 mile mark

I can usually get over 100 before the light comes on, once pushed it to 130 on a tank.

tricky.
