Fuel Pumps

I'm after another tank for track day use.

Is the fuel pump from a 748 the same as/or suitable for use on a 996sps?

No point in using the 748 one if it can't supply enough juice.

Thanks in advance

I was told by a Ducati dealer on Saturday that all pumps from the 748,916,996 and ST4 are compatible up to 2003.

Just so happens I have an almost immaculate (1 tiny scratch near the filler cap) tank in yellow from a 996 sitting doing nothing much at the mo'.
Also got an immaculate pump (compatible) to go with it.
No filler cap though.

U2U's not working very well so if interested leave reply here and i'll get in touch.

Cheers,
Steve

Fuel Pumps

Just bought a 748 pump and tank from Jim at Bike Enders. The only difference is that somemodels do not have the quick change valves underneath.

If the pump has been lying around for a while, get a new filter, bout £6. If the pump is not in the tank then o ring too.

Riverside motorcylces are selling new fuel caps with lock and key for £30 plus p&p. Retail at @£90. Otherwise they come up used on ebay regularly for @£20
Weeksy reckoned that if you are swapping the regular tank and track day over a lot, couple of the quick change valve o rings was a good spare to have.

All 748`s have the same part no`s for the pump but 916/996 have different part numbers.

Where you getting fuel filters from for £6.00 Smilo, they are usually in the region of £11.86 ?

Fuel pump

I lied it is off a 996, fortunately. The fuel filter I got over her in DK. Must be the only Ducati item that is cheaper than buying in England by the look of it.

Steve, shame its yellow!!! but I'm interested. Don't want to mess about changing fuel pumps after Weeksy's comments. I have spoken to someone else about one and i may even chase rattler for his stuff as it's not yellow.

Could you email me on shaun@speedcouriers.co.uk or give me a call on 07973 741335

thanks

Shaun.
