748 book price ?

Just wondering if anyone knows of a site that gives the current book prices for used 748's ? did find a link off the biketrader site, but you had to pay to get the results ( not that I'm tight or anything !! ).

Main reason is that I want to know what to tell the insurance company as the declared value, so if the worst happens I'm properly covered.

Did get a quote from Carlole Nash based on a value of £4200, and was pleasantly surprised - just over £300 for fully comp for a 31 year old seems pretty good.

I got a 2000 plate 748s back in December for £5K after some hagling with the CMC dealership, just 5500 miles on clock.
Its got Termi's and Marchi wheels + Mono Seat.

TPFT was £97, 36 yrs old with full no claims.
Fully Comp was just £245.
Bennets on line insurance.

Info may be of use...

Ouch, thats dear but no claims bonus would have helped.
Sorry bout your thefts mate, may they got raped by the biggest guy in the jail when they get caught.

Would be interested in a copy of the Ducati page from the Glass's guide as I am looking to sell the 998 later this year and dont want to over/under price it and will be looking for a cheaper option 748/916 for the road so want to know what to pay.
Emails in my profile
Cheers

Geoff

I have just online glass report for 2001 748 not the actual book itself so no use for 998- although would love a copy myself if i can get a photocopy when good old Ducati showroom aren't looking!

there's a thought...

Another vote for info on guide prices of Duc's here too... looks like my 996 could be up for sale in the near future.

So who on here is the Glass' Guide owner?

Thanks all, got the bike insured ( £286 for fully comp ! ) and spoke to Carol Nash and they agreed on a value of £4500, based on the bike being in very good nick and having £300 odd of Datatool alarm fitted. They also said that the Glass guide prices dont really bear much relation to sale prices with Ducatis as they hold their value so well.

While I was looking I saw a few dealers ( one local ) with M and N reg bikes up for £4.5 with 5K more miles than mine, the only ones under £4K were private sales or ones that were pretty rough with no service history etc... so I think I got a pretty good deal.
