what is it?

rummaging in the basement to find my old 748 pipes which are neatly stored in the termi box they were swapped with and found the standard chip(replaced with JHP one) and a chip/ECU which came with the termi's...BUT what is it????
black top with red bit on about 120mm long x 60mm wide cast alumin base and stamped magneti marelli - numbers on one side are 61600.630.00 / 996R under that with ducati007 under that. The other side has IAW59M.A2 and some other numbers. To me it looks like a 996R CPU? If it is - i don't need it.

It's a 996R CPU. Not sure if it's a stock one or an open pipe one, but yep. you don't need it

Thats a 996R ECU for 50mm open pipes, fits 996R or 998S. handy for anyone with a 998bp who has fitted the R/S cams. may be handy for someone here.
