Note that Ben Spies posted a 1m 58sec time at the end of testing but this was down to a circuit timing fault.

my only concern is that it is very hot in sepang and therefore easier to get the flintstones tyres up to temp.
There were some similar pics from 2011 apparently...MCN posting.
it actually looks like a superimposition to me. The shadow looks faked, not a wiff of smoke either. the darky seems to continue through the tire also. Too much time in photoshop I think!!!

What worries me amid all the albeit guarded optimism is the (lack of) difference between the all-new-hallelujah bike and the GP0 debuted in November which Pramac have. Rossi is within sight of Pedrosa and the two Yams, ok. But he was behind Barbera on day 2 (above). And today, he finished only one-tenth in front of him.

It was publicly stated that Day 1 was lap time, day 2 was setup testing and day 3 was back to lap time, hence the differences.
