Unhappy 748 Suddenly Wont Start!!

HELP AND ADVISE NEEDED-

ON MY WAY TO A LAST RUN OUT BEFORE REALLY BAD WINTER ON MY 748 BIPOSTE, STOPPED AT SERVICE STATION FOR PETROL, PUT SIDESTAND DOWN FILLED UP, SWITCHED BIKE ON- PRESS FIRE BUTTON AND NOTHING!! bike totally dead, checked sidestand, killswitch etc but nothing.

Called AA who came out, they checked battery, alarm, fuses, etc, he even put his own external battery on, and the bike would turn over but not fire up.

So decided to go for a coffee and wait for recovery van, an hour later walked back to bike put key in and BEHOLD it fired up so i rode home as quick as i could not stopping just in case!

Fast forward two weeks, bike resting in garage over winter battery on optimate, time for a quick turn over, put key in, switch alarm armining off, sidestand up , press fire button, bike turn over beautifully. Turn ignition off using kill switch to test, put killswitch back, press fire button-this time NOTHING.... full power, lights etc, but NOTHING!!! Bike has a datatool evo alarm, anybody can advise what could be causing this problem, or what steps i should use to try and isolate the problem, All fuses checked by AA, bike never seen water, so no terminal corrosioon?????
