Question Race Day/Weekend Marquee????

Is this a good idea to invest in one of these? I am a complete newbie to the racing scene so I would like your thoughts please. I am on with converting my van to try and make it look something like a race home and I feel that this extra space would help a lot as my van is big enough but not massive (insurance reasons, only a baby haha).
The plan was to buy a decent small to medium size Marquee and anchor it to my van with pre made brackets to put up on the day??

Thoughts please (serious thoughts)

Thanks

Scott

Its what a lot of folk do, a 3x3 mtr Gazeebo is sufficient and can be bought new for £150..ish. Anglesey tho' it might just lift the van it knows how to blow across there.

lol it is very windy over that part of the world.

Thanks for the info I think I will purchase one very soon and look at ways to keep it fastened down. Don't fancy it blowing away

My van will have adequate ballast though with my supply of krispy kremes and lucozade

No Scott, I tend to sleep in a bin bag and lick the dew of any grass for refreshment. People throw a lot of food away at meetings so any bin is equivalent to a takeaway but for free.

Neil, true northerner

Oh and I race naked.

I think Bradders has been through two now, One at Cadwell Winds and the 3 "O" clock in the morning Castle Coombe resuce one from a blokes caravan roof where it landed.
Always good to have somewhere to shelter from the wind as well as the sun. Like Phil said there have been some lap records set at night at Angelsey with Gazeebo's going round the track.
Try and buddy up with someone and share one, that way you can share the getting it up/down and wheights/tie downs.

Neil the funny thing is I actually believe given half the chance you would do all of them things
Oh and Neil, only "Northerners" can wear hair nets, real men! haha

Thanks Craig i will consider this although with my farmers knots I can guarantee it will not blow away. However, it will then be in a good position to snap.

Decisions lol
