What no spewing oil or horrible noises from the engine, plus high level pipe, seat convertor and all bodywork intact. Compared to mine yours is a Gem. But considering the price difference thats what I would expect.
Nice one Ali I will try and keep track of your diary.

very professional Ali.

Despite your concerns, I reckon she will still be one of the best turned out SS's, even in it's current state.

That is far too pretty to race! Very, very nice work there mate.

Any chance I can borrow your high-level can to get some pips made up?

Cheers guys. Close up things are a little murkier than the piccies show. I'm not convinced the frame is completely straight, but I won't be able to tell until she'd stripped down.

On the plus side, I went to hellfords to get a few bits and spotted a pricing mistake on one of their 'professional series' socket sets, should have been £200 down to £149, but was marked £99. Bit of argy bargy with the cashier but they relented and I'm now the proud owner of the largest socket set outside of a snap-on catalogue!

Ant: Best thing would be if you could measure the diameter of the inlet pipe on the can you want to use. I think the wolf can on mine is off a jap in-line four system as it's pretty chunky and the inlet pipe is very wide. I'll do measurements tomorrow when I've got my vernier there.

Cheers,

Ali

Are you in your element, or what? Don't get too distracted by the spannering to keep up the diary, though. Your excitement shines through and even I can glean some technical stuff from it, in spite of my efforts to be obtuse!

Whose garage is it? I wondered why I hadn't heard from you. You obviously don't need my garage space any more

Frank: Not sure what the prob could be. Try the new page and let me know if it's still clipping the windows.

Ruthie: Glad you like it! Garage is rented off an ageing granny nearby, but has no 'leccy so it's cold and dark. Especially bad as it means I've got no chance of working on her during the week.

Not to worry, as this week I'll be making my shopping list for the factory.

Roll on Friday......

Nice work - yup one piccy is still getting cropped (but not by much) the piccy where your back end is suspended

erm...yes...the little oil spill is almost completely chopped off on my monitor.

(careful where you lift the bike from as well my friend, better to use the main rails, even if it does mean taking the side panels off).

here is a great idea for building a front stand if both forks are coming out and you dont have a head stock paddock stand:

Take care - Frank
