748 disc play

Hi all,
just got my self another ducati after many years away from them and nice to be back on a duke again,
the 748 sps i have just bought seems to have a lot of plat in the 2 front disc, no i know they are fully floating and expect side plat left to right although there is a lot it rattles like hell, but more worrying is the play on the rotation as its about 3 mm movement, is this acceptable, it really does rattle,
any help would be great, thanks very much.
also does any one have Richard at Louigi motos details as the web site seems unavailable.

Kind regards Phill

Rotational play sounds excessive, the alloy carrier is probably wearing and the bobbin holes more oval than round

You could try getting in contact with Richard via Facebook

Rotational play could be OK, you should see mine - wasn't an MOT fail and hasn't affected the braking performance.

Hi All,
thanks very much for your help the dealer i bought the bike off replaced the disc and also the pads so thats great,
and thanks for the info on richard at Louigi Motos, what a nice decent bloke set the bike up spot on and in quick time and what a difference, and a very fair price for the work carried out, great to find an affordable ducati expert,
Thanks again
