I checked mine at 6,000 miles and had two valves total that were out of spec and needed adjusting. Funny thing, it was the left intake opener on both cylinders. Everything else was dead center of the specs!! I will always check them every 6,000 but odds are they'll never need adjusting again...from what I've heard.

Conclusion was, as long as I was not planning on putting more than a few thousand miles on before March it would be ok to leave. This decision was helped by the fact that the bike came from them new, and they knew that all the service schedule was spot on to date.

Exactly the same scenario for me too. March it is then!
