Just got a e-mail reply from Meta regarding thatcham requirements see below:-

>Good morning,

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the magnetic reed switch.

The switch is fitted to either the seat or the panel to protect the alarm ECU. This switch must be fitted, in order that the alarm system installation achieves Thatcham approval standards.

I would advise you to contact the installing dealer and request that he shows you where the switch was fitted.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards,

Samantha Packwood>

So I'll go up there tommorow and ask where it is , can't see nothing what looks like a switch anywhere near the seat.

Any one got a switch on there seat that can tell me where it might be?

Perhaps its there just not working correctly? ( Have faith in my dealer NOT!)

Thanks

Looks like I may have to speak to the dealer that installed my alarm as well.

Thanks for the info Lee.
