Race bike theft insurance question.

Hi all,
I have googled this and email'd a few company's but nobody wants to reply. Do any of you have or know where to get theft only insurance for a race bike while it is in my garage or at meetings?

Cheers.
Neil.

Competition Car Insurance?

I think.

Look for insurers of race and classic cars, my mates use them and I got a quote on doing race bikes too.

Check on the net for Historic Car Race clubs/sites for links too.

Cheers

Is there any reason that it could not be insured on a standard insurance policy? Most track/racebikes started out life as road bikes with a v5 and reg no. so why could it not be added on to a policy along with your road bike? You could even insure it as tpft as it's not actually going to get used on the road. My insurer, ebikeinsurance.co.uk, lets you make a note of any modifications, so you could put on race can and modified bodywork, etc. Admittedly it doesn't cover the bike for competition use but you aren't trying to cover it for accident damage, just theft.
Anyone any thoughts as to why this would'nt work.

Not sure Gilps,

Is it the intransit bit that is different,? IIR , CCI covers for transit, storage, kit, etc, at all times, except on track, including in paddock etc, can also cover for track use if you are willing to pay the insurance
