It is a common sense ruling on who is a rookie. I had completed one race of one round at the start of th previous year. It was agreed that didn't make me any less a rookie. Not sure on the ruling for Mr Larrett, but I'm sure he was (2nd) in the novice championship in 2009. I think only one previous round means someone can reasonably still be classed as a novice. Any more than one round is questionable. Previous whole seasons I would suggest should rule someone out.

if I thought I could nhave been allowed in (think I was told I wouldn't) I'd have tried a bit harder last year

and agree with Ron - no novice vest should be allowed in the proper championship!

I was kind of hoping that this thread would be replied to by the MT so that the novice championship results could be sorted out.

I have a sneaking suspicion that there is no novice championship this year.

Which is a shame, as I had offered to sponsor it.

depends what rules Neals sets

common sense (to me) would be if you will still have a orange vest at the end of the season if you complete all rounds.

With the ACU changing the rules on orange vests this year I'm going to have mine for quite a while!
