I can do 30m on my 748 after yellow.

But that's pushing it. It's best to allow for 25 miles max.

My ST gets about 10 miles to a litre and supposedly has a 6 litre reserve, why not fill up do 100 miles see how much fuel you then need to fill up again, this will let you know how many miles/litre you average. I'm sure your manual will tell you the size of your reserve.

Im pretty sure if you have a Termi system it takes it burn more fuel, just like on my jap bike, i put the standard can on when touring and the MPG went up.

Happened to me last night!!

999R

Fuel light came on at 98 miles

Went to meet the gang at England's Rose hoping to fill up at Postcombe - closed due to football probably

Had dinner and very nice evening and set off for Watlington - about 8 miles to fill up - CLOSED

Turned right for Benson, about 6 miles - CLOSED

Nothing for it - head back to Henley -

Esso station closed for refurbishment, Jet station closed

Where the **** do you get petrol then after 21:00

Decided to head for home and conked out 1.5 miles from home - B came out with petrol can (always full/stored in garage) home in 15 mins after conking out

So ....

Fuel light came on at 98 miles
Conked out at 124 miles - so 26 miles then

What made me laugh is how the consumption meter comes on in the display telling you how quickly you're running down your precious reserve

on my monster i get 156 miles if i'm good(!) before light comes in and i can go 20 miles before i fill up.

On the multi-strada i got 171 miles before i ran out!

on the 749 i got 130 miles before light came on and fill up before 20 miles

on a gixa 1000 i got 180 miles before light came on, then i went another 40 miles on red light - that was amazing! - mind you i was running that one in for someone

After RTL last week and a couple of times this week, I'm seeing between 110 and 120 for the yellow light to come on. On filling takes about £10/100miles. I recall seeing a note where it says average reserve is for 20~30 miles, but it obviously depends on uphill/downhill etcetera.

Only 170 miles, I got 170/180 the other day with 3 bars or so still to go, took 15/16 litres to fill (23 litres tank I believe) and that was travelling at 80/90 with all panniers on motorway.
I always use Optimax it does seem to go a bit further.
