Looking good Andy, and the track definitely looks smooth - it wasn't like that when I was there! And the temps were a bit milder, but a great track nonetheless!

I had to take a good book though, the Desmo Due bike took a while to get down that 1KM straight!

Saw over the 160......ish.

Have to say my bike performed superbly, i was chuffed to bits it didnt miss a beat!

Unfortunately there was a chap there on another 04 999R who had the statutory plug coil failure on his front cylinder day 2.............and the nero 999 that didnt want to start..........does get embarassing when the pit is mumbling about poxy Ducatis.......

Got one back for the Ducatisti though, out braking him on his mates K5 thingy...........

In one evening?

This might be a bit of blasphemy on this site but after my more recent trips to Silverstone and Brands I'm beginning to get a soft spot for .... the R1!!!!

<----------- They're a bit nippy!

If there was a sore point of the trip it was the hotel...........still it was clean etc but food was sheiitte!

At least with the hire car we all ventured out.....two cars got smashed up !!

and a third hit the armco barriers......

You know the score though, no food ish during the day, straight out for a few beers.....oh the wine looks tempting, the next thing you cant stop!........

Said we would meet up with a group of lads from the Wirral, (read Scousers)
they were the ones who hit the barrier on the way to the restaurant, we were getting directions from them by phone to the "look for the giant Shrimp" restaurant. Then it dawned that they might be screwing the rooms while we were out!

Met a nice South African lad on an R6, had done Silverstone level 1,2 recently......he got carried away on the Sea food......one meal, over 100 euros worth of Lobster and king prawn thingies......

All good fun......
