Tried a few products recently and cant say I'm over impressed with the results...

I found a brilliant new cleaner - it's the Hein Gericke Chain Cleaner! It's bloody brilliant stuff at shifting grease and oil, not just on chains. It also smells like oranges as well! Reminds me of the old Fast Orange stuff

Might be worth a trip to your local HG and trying their other products as if they're as good as the chain cleaner they will be great.

Must admit I have been using the Silkolene Chain cleaner on parts of the bike other than the chain and its been pretty good at shifting muck/grime

Good call,I do have some Citrus Orange pedal bike chain cleaner - somewhere

HG, erm yes - closest one is now 40 miles away

I'm told that Motorex do some reasonable stuff, I've always trusted Wurth but dont have a local dealer for that either now!
