Insurance developments

Following on from the discussions that have been happening within the other thread, I contacted someone that I thought would be interested about providing insurance to the DSC. Here is his response, could I have your comments please.....

Hi Damian.

Sorry I haven't replied quicker, but just got back off holiday. As you are aware the Ninja website has been a great success for us, and we are always looking for other avenues to promote our business. If the Ducati club are looking to get a special scheme sorted with a particular insurance broker then we may be able to help, obviously it would take a little more thinking than just the way the ninja site works, as we would need to try and set up a direct line/internet quoting facility. If we could get something like this sorted, we already have a preferred insurer who gives us excellent rates for Ducati's, obviously depending on individual details of the particular client i.e riding experience and security etc...

If we could try and get something agreed with the director of the Ducati Sporting Club web site, we would be able to negotiate the best possible premiums available to all members, as the particular insurer I mentioned is trying to increase their overall book of business and I know they would give us a very good and very competitive scheme to use.

Please e-mail me back with any details of whom I need to speak to or you may be able to call me on my direct line number at work:0121 384 9201 as of Monday after 11:00am until 7:30pm.

In the meantime if you could possibly emphasise our company name on the website and begin the enquiries from Ducati members, asking them to mention where they found our telephone number, we can begin to try and save money straight away for them as we are already halfway through the biking season and alot of peoples renewals will now be due.

Anyway that's enough of me going on for now, look forward to hearing from you soon!!!

Ronnie - Riders Choice Insurance Specialists.

Sounds interesting... but constraining the scheme to broker with just one underwritter could be very limiting.. is it possible to set it up so that you have several underwritters with prefrential rates, that you can still broker between them and ultimately run the cost of insurance down (and hopefully increase the service levels and features at the same time... dunno is this having your cake and eating it! )

We have now set up the portal site. As you can see we have been working with Ronnie at Riders Choice Insurance Specialists and others to set this up.

http://www.insuremyducati.co.uk Its only a very simple site to start with. We are selecting new sponsors and underwriters as time moves on.

Give it a try and we'll see how it works.

any feedback send to ducatisps@insuremyducati.co.uk
