I have been advised to fit 208 rr,s to my 916 sps having used 010,s which i liked.... your opinion on the 208,s would be much appreciated....bike to be used in Spain, July so very hot. max corner grip required.....any views?
I have 208gp`s on my 748 at the moment, used for a track day & they are fine, but for the road, I do not like them, they fell unstable in long sweeping bends & get unsettled over bumps & any other surface imperfection, ie white lines etc, etc. The sooner I get Diablo`s back on the bettter. My opinion only but the difference is huge.

Hi Stephen,
I have 208rr's on my Duke at the mo and 208gpa's on my track R1.
Both are very good and give an increase in turn-in and lean, but are not totally stable compared to Supercorsa's, although the slide is very controllable (think Vellentino!, I wish...) but they take time to warm up on the road.
Diablo's/Corsa'a seem to be very popular with the Duke guys here and are probably a safe bet, but mine are part worns very cheap so I compromise.
I had 208RR on my R6 during the hot months of last summer and I couldn't get them to slip hardly at all no matter how hard I tried. The grip level was as good as Michelin Pilot Race but without having to worry about warming the tyre up properly before giving it the big one. In sunny Spain you'll have to push hard or run dodgy tyre pressures to get much slip from them. Never tried them in the wet but standard 208's are crap.
