First Ride

Hi , got out for the first ride of the year on Saturday, into Bristol and surrounding area, is it me or have the roads gone totally to pot, there are pot holes everywhere, loose gravel and those special ruts gouged out especially for bikes, I think its pretty bad considering the amount of taxes we pay, whats it like in other areas?

I did Cheddar etc 2 weeks ago and the Burrington Coombe gorge was nice and smooth and Cheddar gorge wasnt to bad either but your right about most of the other good roads about. Riding the 999 you usually find out how bad they are when your nutts get a good crack from the tank! ouch!

Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire roads are abismal at the moment. I am commuting from Grantham to Nottingham each day and I'm looking to see where the bad bits are for when my bike is on the road next week.
