WANTED (to borrow)- Linear TPS M800/1000

Hi,
has anyone got a linear throttle position sensor (TPS) off of a Monster/Sport 800 or 1000ie that they could loan (or sell) me please?

I've replaced a 620 monster motor with one from an S2R and forgot that the non-linear 620 TPS would be confusing the ecu which is expecting a linear tps.

I'm getting a poor partial throttle response and don't know if its the remapped TPS breakpoints or the TPS itself or the ecu (or the motor). I don't want to start replacing components unnecessarily or spending a fortune on dyno time so want to try a normal 800 map and tps combination first.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Paul

And no, its not in my DD bike!

What did you do Chaz, fit the linear TPS or re-mapping the ecu or both?

You have to do a TPS reset with the linear ones apparently.

I have one you can borrow Paul, choice pf a PF1C or a CTS one

Hopefully I have avoided the issue by cloning the whole of the Monster 620 Program from a 59M ECU on to the 999 ECU also a 59M and then just copied over the Main Fuel and Ignition advance map values along with the offset fuel and ignition advance maps from the 5AM ECU that was on the bike and was what the Power commander was dialed in to

Hi kev,
can you bring them to Anglesey please and I'll take a look at them. I'll have a weekend to try one out and give it back to you at Oulton!
Cheers, Paul

No Probs Paul, I already have one in the Van as a Spare for Dallas's bike as it was easier to setup his Nemesis with the Linear one, just take the ADC reading at Closed throttle and then again at fully open and the software then plots a linear line between the two points, saves trying to program in about 20 different values when using an adjustable Non-linear PF3C
