Emmett signs for Monstermob.

Well I did'nt see that coming.Sean Emmett is to ride a works 999 in next years BSB for Paul Birds Monstermob team.
The rumour mill reckoned that they would sign either Nori Haga,Andrew Pitt or Gary McCoy.Emmett was chosen for his knowledge of British tracks and Ducati's.I guess his wages would be considerably less than the other guys too.

No wonder Paul Bird stopped returning my calls, that was my ride ... guess the "donut budget" in my contract was too much for him ... oh well..

Emmett must be cheap as chips for me to be blown out ..!!

I say good for Sean, I've always liked him as a rider with his brassy never say die attitude, I use to cheer him on in the GPs on the Harris SLS500, and still think he hasn't filled his full potential, well nows his chance to show us what he's really made of and well done Birdy for giving him the chance. next seasons BSB is going to be a cracker.

is n't Paul Bird a bit of a control freak , - and Sean a bit of a free spirit? - Could be another year of pit lane crap for Sean or either a BSB title. Rumour is still that Haga may come race here, - his mate Kagayama has told him what a great bunch we are over here. - "Foreign" riders are always surprised by the support and respect they get from us Brits, - we appreciate hard work and natural abilty I guess, - and Kagay and Haga are amongst the best on those 2 scores.
