Calliper bracket

Hi does anyone know where I can get the adapter brackets that will let me fit 4 pad callipers with 65mm centres on my 1997 916 with 40mm mountings. And are the 4 pad callipers from a 999 and some RSVs the same as 996s/998s thanks for any help

Thumbs up

Did a quick Google for you and found these:

CORSE DYNAMICS Axial Caliper Adapters: 65mm to 40mm, $129.99
http://motowheels.com/i-8518113-cors...m-to-40mm.html

SHOWA caliper adapter (40 mm to 65 mm caliper bolt on distance) , €139.00
http://www.performanceparts.de/en/br...ce.html?lang=1

Yoyodyne - Brembo 40mm to 65mm adapters, $199
http://www.yoyodyneti.com/category.aspx?categoryID=2954

All essentially the same thing.

As an alternative, why not change the forks, or just the fork bottoms for the correct mounts?

As for the calipers, they are supplied by Brembo to lots of manufacturers, including Ducati and Aprilia, so they will be the same.

These good guys too:

http://www.ducati-kaemna.de/cms_en/k...el&artikel=234

Only available in gold at the moment apparently - EUR 139

Calipers to look for are P34/4 and yes I've used a pair from an RSV-R on my ST4s, work very well but you might need to factor in new hoses if the banjo mounting point is different to your existing - P4's mount to the side:
