WJB falls for my dastardly plan

Mwahaahaaahaaaaaaa.....

A month or two back I hatched a plan worthy of a master criminal, or even the pink panther himself, to get my hands on a half used roll of Duck Tape.

I figured that all I would need to do was pay up for two days at Cadwell, sort out the cost of fuel and get myself on the trackday...then, I could wander into the holding area with a tale of woe and blag some tape from JohnyB, then while he was out instructing I could pack up and go home taking the tape with me....and it worked...master stroke.

So, next time he's rooting around in his box of bits cursing "where's the fecking Duck Tape, I need to stick the swingarm back on my CB500" it'll be down to me.

Sorry John, I'll fax you another roll

I needed that gaffa tape to fix my CB5 head gasket, going to have to resort to using the bit of chewing gum under my chair, although I have a bit on my CBR600 holding the fairing on that I could recycle

Did you manage to get out on the track at all Jools? I reconsidered my decision to lend the 888 out for a session given the onset of torrential rain and legged it before you noticed :-)

You are a much braver man than me then as the conditions were truly foul! I found the mountain section truly scary on a wet track and even a sniff of throttle around the hairpin was enough to get the rear breaking free.

Point of information. "The Pink Panther" was a diamond. The master criminal (played by David Niven) in the film of the same name was called "The Phantom."

I only know this I am introducing my little boys to some classic humour and we are currently working our way through the Pink Panther series of films. No matter how many times we watch it, the scene where Clouseau dismounts the parallel bars on the wrong side, over the bannister and down the stairs has us in tears every time.
