Interesting! Have you tried it on a bike?

What is the software? How much? Where from? What kit? etc

Only picked up the ECU today, its only when i ran Ducatidiag on it that it showed up it was a 59F. I couldn't dump the map with Diag
The screenshot is from a IAW decoder I purchased years ago and have decoded several Fiat ECUs for Senna3 with it.
It was fairly cheap kit at the time and I'm not sure if its still available. Pretty sure it was a clone of the Mag2pro IAW DECODER from Magicmotorsport which I purchased later but returned after a year for a full refund.
Neither of which work properly with Ducati ECUs despite them saying otherwise,
But if I can download the 999S program from the 59F I maybe able to reload it into another 59F

I'll give it a try on one of my bikes when I get the chance

Skids, I'm following this on Ducatidiag. Just done some experimenting with my MPPS. It will allow you to flash a 320kb file into an IAW59M but after that you can't connect to the ECU. Looks like I have just created a doorstop.

This is the 1st Ducati one I have bricked. My collection now stands at 2 (the 1st being a Punto one).

Chris I had problems reading the 59F ECU with MPPS, so I then updated my MPPS which stopped it working all together. So I uninstalled it, did a fresh installation of my original v12 of the software and it worked

Only ones I have bricked were when I was using the Mag2pro IAW DECODER

My Clone version of that works well with sorting out the 59Fs for the Fiats and as Kev P (senna3) is running short of good ones of them for his Alfa Fiat business I haven't tried using one up by playing with it for use on a Ducati as there is the risk of locking it up. Maybe next time there is one with a coil O/P driver gone I'll have a play
