Ducati thought about this and cleverly supply an allen key under the pillion seat of the Bip.The mono's have dzus fasteners you can undo and then slide your arm in to grab the tool kit.

I must admit I didnt find the allen key under the seat until I'd nearly removed the skin from my arm trying to squeeze it down the fairing to pull the toolkit off the super stong velcro.
I suppose its mentioned in the manual somewhere, will get round to reading it one day.
I still struggle now though since I've converted the bip to a mono and aint go the d-zeus fasteners

tricky.
