Help with 996 temp gauge wiring?
Can anyone tell me how the temp gauge on the 996 is wired? I have been trying to make a loom up with no joy. The gauge has three spade connectors. Sensor feed, + and earth. It's the + and earth I am having trouble with as they do not seem to be real live and earth?

WTF am I not getting here. Think I need to go to work for a rest.

the +ve should be your normal 12 volts supply and the -Ve should be common with your battery earth then the sense wire straight to the temp gauge

Yep thats what I figured Kev. Thing is when wired in that way the gauge goes haywire? I know the gauge is good so a possible sensor fault. Gonna swap it today.
