Have the kids Got a Swing?

Got myself into a right pickle last night. Noticed that the bars weren't quite straight on the 998 due to one fork leg being a small amount further through the yokes.
No problem, Just a 30 minute job to sort it out. To cut a long story short then more I tried to adjust the offending fork leg after loosening the Yoke etc the more it came further through!! cos I didn't have the sort of front paddock stand that supports the bike on the botom Yoke. After about 2 hours I was ready to hang myself and was looking around for a suitable scaffold when Ben's swing frame came to the rescue. Instead of stringing myself up I used the swing frame to take the weight off the front end of the bike by supporting the top Yoke. The back end was on a paddock stand but I still had to be carefull with the ratchet strap I used so the whole lot didn't end up on the floor.
Adjusting the offending fork leg was so easy then, Job done.
Bike cranes/Lifts are availabe from Toys R us and other outlets at about £25!! keeps the kids happy when not in use.
Maybe not recomended by Ride but in got me out of a huge self dug hole!!

If in doubt, throw it against the garage door...then go to B&Q to get a new one.

Been using the kids climbing frame for all things front related for years. The kids are now 11,15,17 and 18, but I keep telling the wife that I can't bear to part with it.
