Exclamation Wanted: FactoryPro 748R EPROM / Chip

Attention Ducati-people...

I really want a FactoryPro chip/EPROM for my Ducati 748R. I have been searching everywhere, but unfortunately they have been discontinued at FactoryPro, but they still have them for sale on their homepage for some reason?

I have tried to order one directly from the FactoryPro homepage, but they make a refund with the message that the chip has gone out of production...Sadly...

http://www.factorypro.com/Prod_Pages...hip_that_works.

I have also tried all the retailers listed in their homepage but no one have one in stock.

So I was hoping that some of you might have one I can buy. Or maybe someone of you knows where to get one.
A fellow Ducati Rider recommended the FactoryPro chip to me, so I hope there is someone who can help me...

Please let me know, if you have one, or know anything that might guide me to find one.

Thanks for your time.

Talking Chip has been found - Case closed.

I managed to find a Chip.

The chip has been installed, and I can only recommend.

A big thank you goes out to the people who makes it possible to post in forums like this.

Exclamation Just keep looking

I am afraid that I do not have a source of this chip. If I did lots of people would like to have one.

I just kept looking, and writing on various websites, like this one, and then suddenly I found one.

So I am sorry that I can not help you.

It is very strange that they still promote the chip on the FactoryPro home page, even though they do not have any? Very strange...If you buy one and pay the money, they send a refund with the message "Item discontinued"...Why not remove the buying option from the homepage. I do not understand.

Can you take a picture of the chip for me?
I have a chip copier so may be able to make a copy of it.

Exclamation Picture of the chip

I am afraid that it is not possible to copy the chip, just like that.

http://www.factorypro.com/images/chip_1%20only_orig.JPG

As you can see it is mounted on a PCB, with some components beneath, and I have also read elsewhere that it is not possible to copy the chip.
Of cause FactoryPro have made the chip, so that it is not possible to copy. Otherwise they had not sold as many...

That's a 512k chip, whereas the ecu takes a 256k chip.
I expect there's some extra logic which allows it to either switch between 2 maps on the Factory Pro chip, or there's some map correction going on... Or maybe it's just a clever anti-copy device to use a 512 with some dead components to only use 256k!
Clever, and as you say not a straight copy, but give me a few hours and I'd figure it out
