Look at these at STM http://www.stm.to.it/en/moto/
A J Racing www.ajracing.info 01453 845544 mob 07957 166896

I just got new plates from him, in post next day lots of help great !

48 tooth lasts lots longer and so does the basket you can still fit the six bolt face with a 48 tooth basket

STM still recomend 12 tooth for 120bhp pluss engins. but AJ said he runs 150 bhp with the 48 tooth evo.
A J Racing said I should change but the basket on mine is still fine. the plates wear in to the side of the basket but you can file them out not to much. £170 for the 12 tooth S T M plates !

Only a personal thing but I don't want a flying sorcer for a clutch, give me the classic look anyday

As I said Ihad one on this 996r before and was very impressed. It has the ball bearing system which is much better than just the ramp type which i had on my 748R. Sigma performance told me that unless you keep on greasing the ramps at regular intervals then the slipping action will not work effectively. The stm is a handsome bit of kit also.I have just spoke to a Ducati trained mechanic, Tim who used to work at Tecmoto but now works at Harris performance, and his words were you cannot go wrong with the stm. He said Ducati will faze out the six post type, and go for the single spring.
loz, where did you see it for that price?
andy, what do you call a proper one? you seem very negative about the stm type.

Im not negative at all, the ti posted slipper in my bike is an stm!

I think our bikes are such technical bits of kit, with several well informed specialists available, you have to go with the opinions of one of them and ill stick with jhp.

He doesnt like them and justifies this with a variety of technical comments which is good enough for me.

I got a STM 48t clutch. Hope to get it fitted today.

It's a proper clutch, though, not a slipper.

How about Proton, Kawasaki and WCM?

Read all about it here

Funnily enough I just happened to be reading this article ...
