Looks like this site is nothing more than an email harvester?

I couldn't see anywhere to download the free book without having to do some referals or submit my details?

I've removed the link for now until we can verify it...

As a qualified/and armour certified welder in MIG TIG & MMA, one isn't going to learn from a book. One needs to know what can/can't & shouldn't be welded. basic metallurgy is recommended, lots of practice with a good tutor/mentor. Also good equipment (usually expensive).

I usually just pay someone else who knows what they're doing as my welding is pants. I've been going to a local company called Specialist Welders for about 25 years.
As you say Phil decent equipment is expensive and that sort of money gets me a lot of welding done

I only posted it as it might be useful to someone-if anyone wants it-it is a PDF-drop me a mail and I will forward. Like you Kev my welding is pants-I can stick bits of metal together but it ain't pretty. Luckily a mate of mine who lives about 100yards from my house is a certified gas pipeline welder-so I really don't need to be any better than I am..............

Thanks John - maybe I was a bit too quick to remove the link but I went to look myself (as my welding is pants too!) and was bombarded with what looked like spam.

If you've got the file, maybe you can attach it to this thread? If not, you can email it to me and I can host it on the server and add a link to it as it will save you the hassle of sending it out.

Thanks!
