Yeap mines the same. The Fuel Pump should have completed priming the injectors by the time the rev counter needle has swept the face of the dial.

I've had a couple of minor problems recently when the bike when its been left for a couple of weeks.

Firstly, rev counter needle sweaps the face of the clocks and stays at max rpm (13,000) with no speedo, temp, time showing up. Bacically the cloaks are dead. Fixed by removing and re-inserting the fuse closest to the fairing on the righthand side of the headlight assembly.

Secondly, turn on the key the the cloaks work ok but the fuel pump won't prime and bike won't start. Found this when the bike wasn't quite in Neutral. Ie Neutral light is not illuminated but the bike can be wheeled around. Fixed by fiddling with the gear level untill Neutral light illuminated and turning ignition on and off a few times.

If you are saying that it primes twice . . .

that is definately NOT normal!!!

Get someone to look at it.
