does the 996R have the same pressure plate with the slipper clutch as the models with standard clutches?

Adam, some slippers run a different pressure plate to the stock one. The teeth are machined out where it engaes with the drum. Not 100% on whether it's a requirement. Mine hasn't.
I'm pretty sure the 996R didn't get a slipper as standard from the factory though. Only the 748R is blessed with one for Supersport homogolation.

oh Jon how right you are, i close my eyes and there before me is an STM evo 48 tooth slipper clutch, its begging me to take it away from its mundane life in the shop. Another private job at the weekend should do the trick.
