got some yellow dial inserts for my 748 to replace the standard clocks (see pic), has anyone fitted these before and are they a ba***rd to fit ? thanks all
tried...........and yes. You have to carefully cut the clock housings, just below the bezel and then once the new face is fitted, glue/tape the clock housing back together again. Superdials will do the job for you, at a price, but could be worth it to avoid the aggro. I still have my set on my desk, waiting for the second attempt
I've doneit twice myself.Got so fed up with the hassle, sold 'em,and then got super-dials to do my set for me!By the time you've got dust in the clock, glue on the inside of the face, the needles on wrong so that the temp is reading incorrectly, you'll wish you never started! Then the needle will probably fall off after 20m and you have to do it alll again. You think lining Termis up is frustrating??!!!
point taken bout the white dials bob probably would look nice, but the job does sound like a load of hassle.... how much did superdials charge to do them jasper ??
