748/916 Showa forks

Hi,

I'm building a special and want to use the Showa forks from the 748/916. Can anyone let me know the following:
what year the showa units were used (early I think)?
the dia. of the top yoke part of the fork?
the dia. of the bottom yoke part of the fork?
the distance between the top of the fork and the centre of the wheel spindle?

Thanks - much appreciated. Graham

The showa forks were still being used in the latest 748 E models, well that's what I have in mine which is on a 52 plate??

I can't help with the diameters etc I'm afraid - not the best with that kind of thing and prefer to just hand my bike to someone else to do the work!
