anyway in the end i put jump leads on to it from the van and the original plugs in and eventually it went. i think the cold had a lot to do with as carbs were set when it was hot and i've found a few batterys that seem to give less effort in the cold ( bit like me then).
cheers guy's.

There's a new easy start available from New Zealand-called-wait for it

"Start Ya B.a.s.t.a.r.d"

So titled because the makers reckon they are the 3 most uttered words when a vehicle won't start.

Tom, you better get out now and see if you can catch some of the late brigade. The rest of us are now looking forward to next week.
Maybe you should leave it idling outside the house so you don't have to worry if it will start or not next sunday

Can I just suggest that you buy a new set of plugs ?

Only its all I have to do to the 3 583's in this household when they decide not to play ball - cleaning seems to make no difference - new ones do!

Just my expereince like.
