thought id show you guys my modified swinger

I caught up with an old mate recently that ive not seen for years. Turns out were both ducati nuts and he ended up doing a time served apprenticeship as a welder after we left school.
After a few beers I somehow managed to talk him into lengthening a stock swingarm for me by 25mm. I gave him a few photos of what i was after and away he went armed with my swinger and another cheap ebay spare. The photo below is the result after i picked it up from the painters this weekend. The extension has been ground flush so its invisible with the paint on and the old chain guard mount removed and the corse style one built up with weld before being drilled and tapped.
Some fantastic metal work for sure. Im sure il be paying for it with beers for some time to come.

That's a handy friend to have
I've had an extended arm on my 996 for about 10 years now, certainly helps keep the front wheel in contact with the tarmac on some of the bumpy Cotswold roads
