600SS age

Picked up new the new DD (600SS) bike on Friday no reg but I would like to get a date for it. The wheels have a ridge in the centre and the guy I got it off said he thought it was a 95 model. Numbers on head: ZDM600S*002179 DGM536400M

Hi Mike

I think you just need to track down an anorak who knows the bikes....

I'm only a "semi-anorak"...so only know that '92 bikes had bronze frames, black wheels and silver footrest hangers, I think '94 bikes had bronze frames and wheels and black footrest hangers, and '95 bikes had gold frames and wheels, and I think returned to silver footrest hangers...best I can do I'm afraid!

Bike is red and has a silver frame and black wheels. It also has the right fork leg mount for a second calliper which I think was dropped on the later bikes. my 98 bike just had the one on the left side.
