Hiya chums, am thinking of buying a "UK spec" wifi only ipad 2. Will it work in Spain? I intend to live there.

Many thanks, Brian.

As long as you have a USB charger for Spain, I cant see why not.

Facetime is great for video chatting but I'm not sure if an older iPad would support the OS...

Yes - they're all the same now, it just updates the settings based on which language you select when you set it up.

We currently have the old iPad (v1) which doesn't have a camera so doesn't do facetime. We also have a couple of the new iPad minis which are awesome and I much prefer over the larger iPad.

As Frank says you just need a Euro charger but you could either use an Euro>UK adaptor on the one in the box or buy a replacement euro adapter.

Before you get the iPad, take a look at the Sony Xperia Z table. Far superior, IMHO. I got a UK spec but live in Italy. No problems.

i have used my iPad 2 and iPad mini in many different countries using both 110 & 220 V. The only issue I have ever had is I mixed up chargers once and I had to buy a new one from the Apple shop in Lexington Kentucky.

Wished I had hung on for the iPad air
