Mood: Found a CR250. Let the bone braking begin
putting private plate on retention ?

As in the title. i want to put my private plate on retention until i get a new vehicle to put it on and also to allow me to sell the chassis it is currently on
so i know it cost around £100 to do it
but where do i go to do it ?
ie where do i get the forms and who do i contact.
also when i do this what will happen to the reg of the vehicle i take it off of ? will it just be issued another or have i got to find one for it ?
many thanks. Keith

Here in Oxford you just go to the local office with the correct forms filled in
(I think you can download these) Log book, mot, and possibly insurance.

They issue the existing vehicle with a new number, normally the original one if its still available

^^what he said...

you will need to take your tax disc with you as well. the originally issued plate is then put back on the vehicle.
