749 Tyre Choice

I am picking up my new 749 on saturday. part of the agreement on the sale was I could have Pirelli tyres on it even if it came from ducati with michelins fitted.

General opion on here seems to be go for the Pirelli option, having spoken to the dealer who has been speaking to ducati uk on this matter and feed back from other customers they seem to recommend the michelins.

What do option would the majority of you go for ?
Any comments would be greatfull

To be honest I think this is a bit of a mental thing, but it's whatever gives you the most confidence on the bike. I personally am not a Dunlop fan but there are people on here swear by 208GP's and Bridgestone BT 012ss as well! I'm a Pirelli man myself, I love em.

I quite happily destroyed a set of supercorsa's and now have corsa's on it ... although I'm filling out a SORN as we speak so maybe I might sell these? Maybe work out a deal with Tyreman?

I dunno ... anyway, IMO the Pirelli's ROCK!

It depends which Michelins you would have, mine came with Pilot Race which are not really suited to road riding and would be very hard to get up to temperature at this time of year.

Mine\'s a 999 but ...

... I loved my Mich Pilot Sport Cups supplied as OE - but only until I rode them in the wet! I'm glad I'm rid of them now.

Never used to be a Dunlop fan, but the 208s I've got right now are very confidence-inspiring, wet or dry.

Woo-hoo!
