Donnington 18th April

Anyone else going with No limits?

Are the new pits built yet?

Not been to Donnington for a good few years.

Ray.

Hi Ray
New pits built (in grey) look ok. But all the stands and Redgate suite are still same old tat.
Looks like an econo measure sandwiched in.
Hope to see you down at Squires in next month or two.

Ray
We were there two weeks ago and they were still making us use a couple of big marquees outside in the car park.
Power was available but you needed about 75 yards of cable to get it to the marquee from the building!
Worth checking if there in use with the circuit as I think they had to be done for the BSB but dont know if they are open to the public to use for TD's yet?
Would be interested to know as we are there in a few weeks time too, unfortunately not on the 18th though.

Good luck and hope you have a good day mate.

A good day out, no rain, a few Ducatis including someone from the Notts area on a 2000 748r, not signed up, but Nelly is working on that!

The garages are open for use but to be honest they ain't that much better than the old garages other than power and a cold water tap.

Ray.

They had power and a tap in the old ones Ray?

Guess its just a superficial bodge of the frontages, an expensive at that

Will see how different they are next month

Glad you had a good day out though mate, did you ride the R or the CBR?

Was it National or GP?

OY,

Was the full demolition job, new ones are block plus a bit of steel/tin, bit similar to modern industrial units. Now big paddock Suite as well but no new diner despite the prices being high enough to pay for one with just one lunch times takings

Took the R, came home with a few more ideas for "rider aids" to free up a few more cells for riding properly rather than having to think about changing gear to much. Got the changing down bit sorted with a slipper clutch, Jasp gave me a fair bit of stick about that as I was yer full "slipper clutch is fer gurls" rider until now

It was the full GP circuit, not been there for years, well three at least.

Me throttle hand is off numb after about five laps, not sure if its the death grip on the bars or vibes through the bars.

After years of riding a pretty standard bike I've got modificationitis pretty bad........HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

Ray.
