Hi Dickie. Not taking the mick. Someone I had reason to believe (racking my brains as to who, may or may not have been someone in my local dealer) told me you can adjust without loosening the spindle nut. When I tried to do this a while back, I actually changed the chain tension. So now I'm buying a decent torque wrench and the appropriate socket and checking what's what before I next ride the 999!
Mind you, I haven't tried adjusting the chain since a change of tyres at Cadwell last month which Julian did for me, so perhaps it was just a one-off thing - if I try it now, the adjusters might not budge. I really would like to know the how and why of what happened before.
