Plastic Welding

Have any of you guys had any fairings plastic welded?
I am in the process of getting my front gaurd repaired and they don't know if the material is plastic or a plastic polyurethane mix if it is straight plastic it can be welded.

plastic welding

I havent personally but heard of someone who had a fairing part welded. Assuming all fairing parts (and mudguards ) are of the same material .. I see no problem.

Yeap, had the RH top fairing done on my ss. Some dozy tosser knocked the bike over and broke the fairing right where the indicator bolts on. Looking at it now you would'nt known that it has been repaired.

Personally,

If they dont know what it is I wouldnt trust them with it, any good fairing repairer knows what he's working with ....

If you are is SE London there is a top fairing repairer in Tonbridge, about 20 minutes down the A21
